Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to challenge fees paid on the Citadel Sports Ladder platform, operated by Citadel Sports Private Limited.

Introductory free period: Sports Ladder is currently operating completely free of cost, including for issuing and accepting challenges. The challenge fees described below are not being charged during this initial period, so this policy will only become relevant once fees are introduced. We will provide advance notice to users before that happens.

1. Challenge Fees Are Generally Non-Refundable

Not currently in effect — see the introductory free period notice above.

Challenge fees (₹100 per match for team sports; ₹20 per match for individual sports and video games) are charged for facilitating and organising a competitive match on the Platform. As a rule, these fees are non-refundable, including in the following cases:

• Opponent no-show: If your opponent fails to appear, the match is handled under Platform rules (the no-show may lose ranking position). The challenge fee is not refunded.
• Cancellation by a captain/player: If you or your opponent cancel an arranged match, you may request to reschedule the match by flagging it to the admin. Rescheduling is at the admin's discretion. No refund is provided.

2. When We Do Provide Refunds

We will refund a challenge fee only in the following limited situations:

• a technical error caused you to be charged incorrectly (for example, a duplicate charge for the same challenge); or
• a payment was deducted but the challenge was not created on the Platform due to a system failure; or
• Citadel Sports Ladder cancels an event or match for reasons attributable to us.

3. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund under Section 2, contact us at citadelsports.in@gmail.com or +91 76750 74148 within 7 days of the transaction, including your registered name, the transaction reference, and a description of the issue. Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method via Razorpay, typically within 5–7 business days, subject to Razorpay's processing timelines.
