These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Citadel Sports Ladder platform, operated by Citadel Sports Private Limited ("we", "us", "our"). By registering for or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Citadel Sports Ladder is a competitive ranking platform for sports and video games. Players and teams register, join ladders, issue and accept challenges, play matches, and climb rankings. Use of the ladder is free; certain actions, such as issuing a challenge, require payment of a challenge fee as described below.

Introductory free period: Sports Ladder is currently operating completely free of cost, including for issuing and accepting challenges. The challenge fees described in Section 3 are not being charged during this initial period. We will provide advance notice to users before any challenge fees take effect.

2. Eligibility

You must provide accurate registration information. Players under 18 may participate only under the supervision and responsibility of a parent, guardian, or team captain aged 18 or older. Only persons aged 18 or above may make payments on the Platform. By making a payment, you confirm you are 18 or older.

Users under 18 will not be charged any fees. Players aged 13 and above may register with parental/guardian consent — confirmed via a required checkbox at signup — so the Platform can place them in the correct age-category ladder and matchmaking pool. The Platform is not intended for use by children under 13.

3. Challenge Fees

Not currently in effect — see the introductory free period notice in Section 1. The fee schedule below will apply once challenge fees are introduced.

• A challenge fee of ₹100 per match applies to team sports, and ₹20 per match applies to individual sports and video games.
• The challenge fee is payable by the challenging captain/player at the time of issuing a challenge, through our payment provider, Razorpay.
• Challenge fees are consideration for facilitating and organising the competitive match on the Platform and are non-refundable except as set out in our Refund Policy.

Escrow & disputed matches: Sports Ladder holds all match/booking payments in escrow until the match outcome is confirmed. In the event of a dispute between teams, Sports Ladder will investigate and, if the dispute is found valid, issue a full refund to the affected party.

4. Match Conduct

• Once a challenge is accepted, both teams/players are expected to play the match as arranged.
• No-shows: If an opponent fails to appear for an agreed match, they may lose their ranking position as per Platform rules. No refund of the challenge fee is due in this case.
• Cancellations & rescheduling: If a captain or player needs to cancel an arranged match, they may flag the match to the admin to request a reschedule. Rescheduling is at the admin's discretion. No refund is provided for cancellations.
• Match results must be reported honestly. We reserve the right to investigate and resolve disputes, and to take action (including suspension) against users who provide false results or engage in unsporting or abusive conduct.

5. Rankings and Platform Decisions

Rankings, results, promotions, and competition outcomes are determined by Platform rules and, where applicable, by admin decisions. Our decisions on disputes and rankings are final.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to misuse the Platform, including by cheating, falsifying results, harassing other users, attempting to manipulate rankings, or interfering with the Platform's operation. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Payments

All payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card or banking details. By making a payment you also agree to Razorpay's applicable terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and software of the Platform are owned by Citadel Sports Private Limited and may not be copied or reused without permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Citadel Sports Private Limited is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Platform, from matches played, or from interactions between users. Matches are played at the participants' own arrangement and risk.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana.
